The rich and the powerful have a very loaded term for natural law.
Natural law is the law of nature. Just like physical laws are the laws of the physical world. You aren’t afraid of physics just because you know not to step over a cliff.
But they call it the “law of the jungle”.
Oooooh! Scary!
You should be afraid of the law of the jungle! It’s either eat or be eaten out there! There’s lots of things that can get you in the jungle.
“Wait!” they cry.
“We will save you from the the jungle! We will give you our law. The law of Civilization. Of Society. Of organization. We will call it ‘government’. And you will be safe.”
What they don’t tell you is, you can’t avoid natural law. No matter what you do. No matter where you go. The laws of physics still apply. And so does natural law.
For example, possession is the law of the jungle. If one fox gives up its hole, another one can take its place.
That’s why they say, “possession is 9/10s of the law”.
But in civilization, possession doesn’t mean anything. Ownership means everything. And who decides who owns what?
The State. The all-powerful purveyor of Justice and Righteousness.
So, if the state decides you are a different skin color and speak a different language, therefore you don’t own anything and we “own” everything, it doesn’t matter what you possess. If we can take it from you, we will.
And there it is again, the Law of Nature! Actually showing how things work, whenever the rich and the powerful want to use it, cloaked under the deception of “law”.
Slavery was “legal”. Concentration camps were “legal”. (The ones in America, I mean@) Native decimation was “legal”.
But, was it right? Or is it just the Law of Nature in action?
If you want to be powerful, you must first know the truth.
And the truth is that we are all living under natural law, first.
And you can say “No” at any time.
And when you stand up in nature, then, if someone wants to take what is yours, they need to fight.
And if they fight, they might lose.
They want you to give up without a fight. That’s why they claim the law is on their side.
In reality, the law of society or civilization is whatever they decide it is, changing constantly.
And we are ignorant of nature.
